Conservation Equipment Services
Our Story
History
The team behind Conservation Equipment Services has spent the majority of their careers working within the field of art conservation engineering. For many years we were part of the engineering and technical team at Willard Conservation Limited, designing, building, installing, and supporting specialist equipment used by conservators around the world. The closure of Willard marked the end of a significant chapter in conservation engineering, but the knowledge, experience, and dedication of the people behind that work continues. Collectively, our team brings decades of experience supporting conservation equipment and the professionals who rely on it.

The Present
Conservation Equipment Services was established to continue supporting the conservation community with the same practical expertise and commitment that conservators have relied upon for many years. Our team has extensive experience maintaining, repairing, and supporting equipment installed in conservation studios worldwide, and we retain a deep understanding of the legacy systems still in use. By working closely with conservators, we aim to provide reliable technical support and ensure that essential equipment continues to operate effectively for years to come.

Our Approach
As engineers and technicians who have worked closely with the industry for many years, we understand that reliable equipment and responsive technical support are essential to conservation practice. By listening to and understanding the needs of conservators whilst drawing on our experience, we provide dependable solutions to the same standard we have always strived to provide throughout our careers.

A Look to the Future
Our ambition is to build on this foundation by developing and expanding our own range of specialist tools and equipment designed specifically for the needs of modern conservation practice. As the field of art conservation continues to evolve, we hope to collaborate with conservators to design practical, well-engineered products that support the challenges of the profession. Our goal is to combine decades of experience with new ideas, helping conservators around the world continue their vital work preserving cultural heritage.
